Choosing the right radiators
A radiator is matched to the engine and, just as importantly, the transmission. Automatic models usually have a transmission cooler built into the radiator tank with two extra pipe fittings, and a manual radiator will not have them. Check the core size, the hose inlet and outlet positions and the filler neck against your old radiator.
A radiator that has leaked or run hot can leave debris in the cooling system, so flush it before fitting the new one and refill with the coolant type your manufacturer specifies. Replace worn hoses and the cap at the same time, since they are cheap compared with an engine that overheats.
