Choosing the right fans & shrouds

Most modern cars use electric thermo fans behind the radiator, either a single fan or a twin fan assembly in a shroud. A fan that stops working usually shows up as overheating in traffic or air conditioning that goes warm at idle.

Check whether you need the complete assembly with shroud and motor or the fan alone, and match the plug and the number of fans. Models with and without air conditioning, and with different engines, often use different fan assemblies.
